Drawing from a wide range of sounds, their original music weaves together funked bass grooves, banjo driven twang, latin beats, electro-psych synth lines, and classic rock guitar. Listening to the group’s offerings, one gets the sense that a good laugh is one piece of the puzzle that keeps the fun meter in check. Make plans at SVCI for an indulgent night of mussel delicacy with three unique and exquisite preparations, including classic French flavors and bold Thai and Spanish influences—mussels with tomato, fennel, white wine, and frites in green curry coconut broth and with Spanish chorizo, roasted peppers and smoked paprika. Also included will be a lovely mixed green salad with goat cheese, dates, toasted pepitas, and green goddess vinaigrette. Paco Versailles
Paco Versailles is a collaboration between guitarist/composer Vahagni and songwriter/producer Ryan Merchant (Capital Cities). Their sound is a mix of flamenco guitar rhythms with disco-leaning electronic production and captivating vocals – a new genre they call Dancemenco. The name “Paco Versailles” was conceived while imagining a collaboration between their biggest influences, the legendary Spanish guitarist Paco De Lucia and French electronic artists Daft Punk and Air, both products of the Parisian suburb of Versailles.
