Boulder Mountain Tour

The 52st annual Zions Bank Boulder Mountain tour is February 1, 2025! This is the premier cross-country race in the Western United States, the Tour is staged on the historic Harriman Trail located in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest Area. Race distances are 34 kilometers, the Full Boulder, and 15 kilometers, the Charley Course Half Boulder. The field features World Cup-caliber racers to cross-country enthusiasts who embrace the “Tour” aspect of the event. All ages are welcome. Racers are separated by waves, including Elite Men, and Elite Women, seeded by previous race times in the BMT or comparable marathon distance races. There are seven waves in the Full Boulder. This year, the in-person race field will be capped at 800 skiers for the Full Boulder, and 200 skiers in the Half. Sun Valley Wine Auction

A celebration of wine, a benefit for the arts. The 44th Annual Sun Valley Wine Auction will be held June 25 - 27, 2025. Founded in 1981, the Sun Valley Wine Auction began as an intimate fundraising event for an emerging arts organization that eventually became the Sun Valley Museum of Art. Consistently ranking in Wine Spectator’s annual Top 10 Charity Wine Auctions, the festival brings together both small and large and always distinguished vintners, celebrity chefs, and wine lovers for a celebration of wine, food, friendship all in support of the arts. Proceeds from the Auction provide significant funding for the Museum’s exhibitions and educational programs. The Wine Auction fuels SVMoA’s free year-round arts integration programs so that they can reach 4,000 student participants in the Wood River Valley. It also supports the Museum’s annual Scholarship Program, which, since its inception, has awarded more than $1,000,000 to continued arts education. Artists from all over the Wood River Valley will open their studios on August 22, 23 & 24, 2025 from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. This tour is free and open to everyone. The pace will be leisurely, with time for visitors to discuss techniques and inspiration with the artists themselves and perhaps choose a special piece with a meaningful story behind it. The tour is also a great time to introduce the younger generation to the world of the professional artist. A map will be published in The Idaho Mountain Express before the event and the flyers with the map will also be posted around the valley. All pertinent contact information will be included for each of the forty artists.
