Steve Hackman • And I Love Her

A musical visionary of incomparable gifts, Steve Hackman is a daring voice leading the charge among a new generation of classical musicians intent on redefining the genre. Equally adept in classical and popular forms, his breadth of musical fluency and technique is uncanny – he is at once a composer, conductor, producer, DJ, arranger, songwriter, singer, pianist, and even rapper. He uses those wide-ranging abilities to create ingenious hybrid compositions that blur the lines between high and pop art and challenge our very definitions thereof. And I Love Her is an evening of reimagined music by The Beatles. Special two night package pricing available for the July 26 & 27 shows. Cabaret Seats • $75 Tiered Seats • $40 Young Adults 30 and under • $20

Juneteenth Celebration

Join The Argyros, Wood River Community YMCA, I Have A Dream Foundation, College of Idaho, and the US Attorney’s Office, District of ID, to learn about and celebrate Juneteenth. Juneteenth, which has been informally observed as a holiday for over a hundred years, marks the emancipation of African Americans from slavery on June 19th, 1865. In 2021, after decades of grassroots lobbying, it was recognized as an official federal holiday. Join us for an evening to recognize the ongoing American project of racial diversity and justice, and to consider how we may continue to strive for a more perfect union. Featured speakers includes Latonia Haney Keith (VP of High Impact Practices, College of Idaho), Kaya Evans (2021 Rhodes Scholar), Angela Taylor (The Dignitas Agency, formerly WNBA), and Josh Hurwit (US Attorney, District of Idaho). This event is free, registration is required. We hope to see you there.

8600FT: An Evening with Athlete/ Producer Braydon Bringhurst

Braydon Bringhurst sets out to climb every inch of mountain biking’s iconic trail: “The Whole Enchilada.” Husband. Father. Son. Friend. Professional mountain biker and filmmaker. From a young age, Braydon has loved the process of figuring out a challenge and proving to himself he can accomplish what he sets out to do. Inspired by his family and friends, many of whom are dealing with figurative mountains, in life both big and small, Braydon wanted to show the process of making it up what many would say is an unfathomable climb. Having worked closely with Dr. Craig Manning, a renowned performance psych, throughout his collegiate athletic and academic career, Braydon learned something he wanted to share with others: It’s just as much about the mental strength as it is the physical. With his wife and friends rallying behind him, and putting forth great efforts, we present to you ‘8600 FT.’ Braydon will give a short presentation following the film to discuss how he applied the mental skills learned through his work with Dr. Craig Manning to develop a fearless mind and accomplish his goal. A benefit for The Ketchum Bike Park Trust.

Innovation, What We're Made Of

What We’re Made Of: DECKED

Local company DECKED has created a product that appeals to many of the kinds of people who call Ketchum home: outdoors people, tradesmen/contractors, and just about anyone who drives a truck. It was while innovating a way to organize a truck bed that DECKED founders, Jake Peters and Lance Meller, came up with the idea for DECKED’s drawer system, tapping into the market of truck accessories that few had or have since. In its almost ten years as a company, DECKED has grown from a small-footprint, servicing mom and pop accessory stores, to a multi-national company available directly from manufacturers like Ford and Chevrolet distributed into 27 countries on six continents. The Origin Story Like the origin of so many products, DECKED’s drawer system was the result of necessity. Ketchum local Lance Meller was a snowboard rep and pickup truck owner who built his own plywood drawer system for the bed of his truck, which allowed him to sleep in it while on the road while also storing his snowboard samples. After getting a new truck, Meller realized he would have to build another system from scratch, with no real roadmap for doing so. He partnered with DECKED founder, Jake …
