Sun Valley Culinary Institute Hosts an Evening with Chef Cynthia Nims

On Thursday, February 19, from 4 to 6 p.m., SVCI will host Chef Cynthia Nims for Shellfish Appetizers & Cookbook signing. Chef Nims will prepare complimentary samples of a few recipes from The Essential Shellfish Collection, which will also be available for purchase. This beautiful trio of books is a must-have for seafood lovers, featuring Chef Nims’s engaging writing and storytelling, along with her delicious recipes.

Chef Nims will share highlights from her research and recipe development for the book, as well as stories about shellfish adventures from across her writing career. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to SVCI to support its mission.

Chef Nims, a celebrated chef, food enthusiast, cookbook author and culinary arts expert, is known for her innovative cooking style, particularly her focus on seasonal ingredients and seafood. She is admired for her ability to create approachable yet refined dishes and for her important role in promoting sustainable seafood practices, which has earned her respect in the culinary community.
