Locally and globally inspired. This cozy place was built in 1932 as a church and then later on was an architect’s office, daycare, butcher shop, BBQ restaurant and bakery. The history goes on. Vita and Burke Smith fell in love with this cute building and decided to give it a new life. With a tremendous love of books and cooking, the perfect name was born – Cookbook. Redfish Lake Lodge
On the main level of the rustic Redfish Lake Lodge, you’ll taste a true Idaho mountain brand of comfort food – cuisine that will pleasantly surprise you in this remote and rugged country. We start with as much local Idaho grown ingredients as we can, then add our own blend of flavors from the Northwest’s wild resources. We specialize in salmon, trout, wild game, and other regional favorites – plus wines from acclaimed local, domestic, and international producers. The lake views and rustic lodge atmosphere will make this a memorable and ‘crave-able’ experience for small and large parties alike. Hearty, traditional breakfasts with a Northwestern flair are served 7 days a week in our main dining room. Enjoy lunch in the dining room daily from opening weekend in May until the weather allows us to go outside to our food and beverage gazebo. We will open again for lunch in the dining room on any bad weather days and after Labor Day. Galena Lodge
Galena Lodge is open for summer operations from mid-June to mid-September, daily 9am – 5pm with lunch served 11am – 3:30pm. Summer 2024 opening day is June 6th. Summer activities include: Thursday Wagon Ride BBQ’s Yurt Rentals Mountain Bike clinics in June & July Rent mountain bikes. Galena opens for the winter season around Thanksgiving day and closes early April. Winter hours of operation are 9am to 5pm. Cozy up by our fire and enjoy lunch, fresh baked goods, espresso drinks or a house made cocktail. Lunch served daily from 11:00am to 3:30pm. Dinners: Primarily a day lodge serving wholesome lunches to hungry skiers, Galena is also celebrated for its special event dinners. These dinners are available by reservation only.
