We recommend bringing your own eye protection/sunglasses, work gloves and sunscreen. A small pack is nice to have for water, layers and a snack. No dogs please. Mountain Humane Hikin’ Buddies

At Hikin’ Buddies, you can take a shelter dog for a hike or hang out and socialize some of the smaller dogs. It is a great opportunity to meet some of Mountain Humane’s adoptable dogs as well as to learn more about the organization. All are welcome to join in throughout the summer, weather permitting. Meet at Adam’s Gulch trailhead, north of Ketchum, from 9:30am - 1:00pm on Wednesdays. No appointment is necessary; just bring your family and friends to have a good time with some dogs that would love to meet you!

We are excited to announce that starting summer of 2023, the Ketchum Farmers Market will be moving to the Forest Service Park at 131 River St. East!  Come join the fun, shop, taste the freshness of local produce, get to know your farmers, buy in-season produce and plant starts, listen to free music with family and friends and enjoy the atmosphere of the Wood River Farmers’ Markets. Judy Zimmer leads Paint Club for tweens and teens. Come join us in The Children's Library where we'll all make a creation on canvas. Paint club is open to tweens and teens ages 9+ who can manage the project alone. All supplies are provided. Space is VERY limited so sign-up is required. Please be sure you can make the commitment to attend as we turn many away from this popular offering. Wildflower Walks 2023 is SBG’s 19th year of leading Wildflower Walks! Join us hiking slowly on nearby moderate to easy trails as we appreciate the blooming native plants of our area. Walks will be led by botanists, naturalists, birders, and wildflower enthusiasts. We will choose the trails earlier each week according to where flowers are actually blooming. Participants will meet at Sawtooth Botanical Garden (11 Gimlet Road, 4 miles south of Ketchum), and follow each other or carpool to the trailhead. Children under 14 are welcome with an adult. No dogs please! Bring clothing for possible weather, hiking shoes (no flip fops or dress shoes), sun protection, plenty of water, reusable water bottle and a lunch. A camera, field guide, binoculars and notebook may help with identifying and remembering plants. Click here for an optional packing list! McGowan Cusp of Summer, Jeffrey H. Lubeck’s Exhibit of Fine Art Photography will premiere on Friday June 30th, 2023, at MESH Gallery in Ketchum Idaho.  The premiere will be held from 5-7:30 PM. MESH Gallery is located at 420 4th Street East.  It is situated next to Town Square and across the street from Atkinson’s Market. The Artist will be on hand for discussion. During the Premiere MESH Gallery will also be hosting a party celebrating its 10th year in business. The public is invited to attend the event free of charge. Free Food and beverages will be served. Lubeck captured images of the iconic McGowan Peak in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho over a nine-hour period on the day before summer this year.  “My goal was to capture McGowan and its surroundings: during the fading light of sunset, the height of the night sky under the Milky Way and in the golden glow of sunrise”, says Lubeck.  “The effort required a fair amount of planning, perseverance, and luck.” Lubeck’s research and experience suggested that given the sun’s angles, McGowan is primed for a superb sunrise and sunset on the days just before, during, and after the Summer Solstice.  In 2023, ...

MESH Gallery is about to be 10 years old. On Friday June 30th , 2023, the Fine Art Photography gallery will celebrate its 10th Birthday with a party from 5-7:30 PM. The public is invited to attend the celebration. Free Food and beverages will be served. MESH Gallery is located at 420 4th Street East in Ketchum, Idaho. It is situated next to Town Square and across the street from Atkinson’s Market. MESH Gallery is housed in what was the original Catholic Church in Ketchum, built in 1884. The Father and Son team of Jeff & Kyle Lubeck opened MESH Gallery to the public on the last weekend of June 2013. “We arrived at the MESH name by combining the first two letters of our dog’s names, Merry and Shae.” says Kyle. “Both were rescue pups from the Wood River Animal Shelter.” The Wood River Animal Shelter is now called Mountain Humane. “The Gallery is Kyle’s idea,” says Jeff. “He presented a business plan.
