The 2023 Hailey Market is on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Hailey market will remain in it’s wonderful location- the front of Roberta McKercher Park (Main Street on the south end of town, between 3rd and 4th Avenue)! Enjoy some live music and ready to eat foods. Customers are encouraged to bring their own bags and market baskets. This market is continuing to accept EBT and offer the Double Bucks program- please see the Wood River Ranch Beef trailer for more information. BATHROOM FACILITIES ARE VERY LIMITED. Paint a Legacy 5k

Wood River High School

Help us leave a legacy of smiles, Wood River Valley! This 5k color run will be supporting our local non-profit, Dental Legacy Foundation. Please wear a white shirt and sunglasses! Each racer will be given a race bib, and a cup of paint to throw at the start line, and a medal at the finish line. The race will start at 11:00 am. Please show up early to pick up your bib and check in before the race starts. The race will start at the dirt parking lot in front of the High School. Please park at the Wood River High School and Community Center. We can't wait to see. you there!

Summer Kick Off Block Party

The Trailhead Bicycles & First Lite are throwing a Block Party to kick off the summer! Join us on the street from 12-4 pm for a live DJ, bike-themed contests, food trucks, beer, kids' activities, corn hole, raffle prizes, and more! Everyone is encouraged to bike. Family-friendly pre-party bike ride from Hulen Meadows on the Wood River Trail to the shop, 10:30 am-12 pm. Sawtooth Rangers 4th of July Rodeo: Rodeo is a proud tradition in the West and in Hailey the Sawtooth Rangers have held an exciting professional rodeo, featuring some of the best riders and stock in the country, over the 4th of July every year since 1947. In 2011 the City of Hailey invested over $3 million to build a new state-of-the-art rodeo arena and grounds at the entrance to the city at Werthheimer Park to play host to the Sawtooth Rangers Rodeo as well as other events throughout the year. 2023 Rodeo dates are July 2 - 4 Rodeo starts nightly at 7:30pm. WORKSHOP: Vegetable Garden Sketching

Grab your art supplies and get outside! Painting and drawing nature are ways to develop an informal art practice that connects us to the ecology of the places we inhabit. Sign up for one or both of these 4-hour workshops! In workshops offered on July 5 and 6, students will tap into observation skills and learn basic drawing or painting techniques as we sketch plants and vegetables growing in our backyards. Students should come prepared to carry their art materials for sketching and exploring the blooms in The Hunger Coalition’s Hope Garden, just steps from SVMoA’s Hailey Classroom. Age & ability: 16 and older, beginners welcome! $100 member / $125 nonmember

Mountain Humane Hikin’ Buddies

At Hikin’ Buddies, you can take a shelter dog for a hike or hang out and socialize some of the smaller dogs. It is a great opportunity to meet some of Mountain Humane’s adoptable dogs as well as to learn more about the organization. All are welcome to join in throughout the summer, weather permitting. Meet at Adam’s Gulch trailhead, north of Ketchum, from 9:30am - 1:00pm on Wednesdays. No appointment is necessary; just bring your family and friends to have a good time with some dogs that would love to meet you!

Event Series Wildflower Walks

Wildflower Walks

Wildflower Walks 2023 is SBG’s 19th year of leading Wildflower Walks! Join us hiking slowly on nearby moderate to easy trails as we appreciate the blooming native plants of our area. Walks will be led by botanists, naturalists, birders, and wildflower enthusiasts. We will choose the trails earlier each week according to where flowers are actually blooming. Participants will meet at Sawtooth Botanical Garden (11 Gimlet Road, 4 miles south of Ketchum), and follow each other or carpool to the trailhead. Children under 14 are welcome with an adult. No dogs please! Bring clothing for possible weather, hiking shoes (no flip fops or dress shoes), sun protection, plenty of water, reusable water bottle and a lunch. A camera, field guide, binoculars and notebook may help with identifying and remembering plants. Click here for an optional packing list!
