Roll up your sleeves and hop in the kitchen with Community Herbalist Megan Schooley to learn how to make immune-supporting elderberry syrup, fire cider and herbal chai, and share in conversation about immune boosting strategies for you and your family. A Peruvian Pachamanca | Una Pachamanca Peruana

Join us for the second annual Peruvian Pachamanca! Brought to us by the Sun Valley Community School's Community Table and hosted at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden. The Pachamanca is a traditional Peruvian feast with delicious food cooked right in the earth! The Pachamanca feast is cooked during festivities and in religious celebrations, as a form of paying gratitude to the “Pachamama” or Mother Earth in Andean beliefs. This free event, part of the celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month invites participants to immerse themselves in this cultural celebration of Mother Earth and all she has to offer. _____ Acompáñenos a la segunda celebración anual de Una Pachamanca peruana. Presentado por la Mesa Comunitaria, el sábado 12 de octubre en Los Jardines Botánicos de Sawtooth. La Pachamanca es un plato típico y una forma tradicional de preparar alimentos en Perú, que se caracteriza por cocinar los alimentos bajo la tierra. La Pachamanca se cocina en celebraciones y festividades religiosas, como una forma de agradecimiento a la Pachamama, la Madre Tierra en la cosmovisión andina. Our toned-down former "gala" event is now simply another beautiful boutique opportunity to join friends and break bread, enjoy a hosted bar, listen to live music, and support the valley's own public botanical garden in its late summer glory.
