Gimlets in the Garden

Our toned-down former "gala" event is now simply another beautiful boutique opportunity to join friends and break bread, enjoy a hosted bar, listen to live music, and support the valley's own public botanical garden in its late summer glory. Come learn about the Garden's successes of the year and its plans for the future. We will host a BBQ on September 26! Come for gimlets, wine, beer, food, live music, and good community! In preparation for Lions Gate Portal we will prepare to receive the newness coming in with this Galactic New Year. This is a unique opportunity to learn about and harvest Mullein. We will work intimately with this plant and create botanical properties that supports the mind, body, and spirit. In this 2-day class we will cover Botany: how to safely identify Ethnobotany: how has this plant been used by humans for 100's of years. We’ll even make torches or candles. Traditional uses: how to support your body with mullein Wildcrafting: How to ethically harvest for personal use Herbal preparations: tincture, oil, & flower essences. Click here to register!

Kids can get up-close and personal with some of Idaho’s native creatures and explore engaging displays while learning about fun, weird and sometimes incredibly helpful creepy crawlers.
