Join us for the second annual Peruvian Pachamanca! Brought to us by the Sun Valley Community School's Community Table and hosted at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden. The Pachamanca is a traditional Peruvian feast with delicious food cooked right in the earth! The Pachamanca feast is cooked during festivities and in religious celebrations, as a form of paying gratitude to the “Pachamama” or Mother Earth in Andean beliefs. This free event, part of the celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month invites participants to immerse themselves in this cultural celebration of Mother Earth and all she has to offer. _____ Acompáñenos a la segunda celebración anual de Una Pachamanca peruana. La Pachamanca es un plato típico y una forma tradicional de preparar alimentos en Perú, que se caracteriza por cocinar los alimentos bajo la tierra. La Pachamanca se cocina en celebraciones y festividades religiosas, como una forma de agradecimiento a la Pachamama, la Madre Tierra en la cosmovisión andina.
