Olympian Statue Unveiling- Kaitlyn Farrington 2014 SOCHI

Join the Idaho Women’s Athletic Foundation, and local community members for the unveiling of the most recent bronze statue at Festival Meadows , Sun Valley. Created by the nationally recognized artist, Ben Victor, this statue will represent the pride, talent, and athleticism of Bellevue local, Kaitlyn Farrington. Farrington pulled off the biggest achievement of her career to date when she beat the three previous Olympic champions to win the women’s snowboard halfpipe gold at Sochi 2014. Tuesday, July 30th from 2pm-4pm the IWAF will hold a brief reception with complimentary snacks and beverages to celebrate the athletic achievements of Kaitlyn Farrington. This statue is just the next installment of many in the organizations project to memorialize and celebrate all the athletic talent that has spawned from this small community. Before unveiling, there will be brief remarks by former olympians, the artist and sculptor This event is free to attend, ADA accessible, and family friendly. The Trailhead Bicycles’ Weekly Group Gravel Rides

Join us for a 20-30 mile gravel ride around Hailey each Wednesday morning at 7am throughout the summer! These are no-drop group rides; we plan to ride with you! Baldy Hill Climb

2023 will be the 45th year of suffering at the infamous Baldy Hill Climb, hosted by SVSEF! Registration is now open and closes Thursday, September 28 at 11:59pm. No Race Day registration. 17 & Under = $30 18 & Over = $40 All participants receive an event t-shirt, a refuel at the summit aid station, and a ride back down to the base (details for 2023 to come). $100 bonus on the line for anyone in the Race division who topples a course record. 2023 Race will be run on River Run side of the mountain to Round House. Day of Bib Pick- up and Race Start are at the base of Bald Mountain, outside the River Run Lodge. Exact course update will be posted in early September. Sun Valley Pickleball Classic

Round Robin format WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills 3.0-4.5+. Age brackets will be determined following the close of registration, but will strive to be close to under 50, 50-59, & 60+ events. Players will self rate and can not play lower than their USA Pickleball Tournament Player Rating (UTPR). Players may only play up in skill .5 from their profile rating. Tournament Director reserves the right to correct underrated players. Paint a Legacy 5k

Help us leave a legacy of smiles, Wood River Valley! This 5k color run will be supporting our local non-profit, Dental Legacy Foundation. Please wear a white shirt and sunglasses! Each racer will be given a race bib, and a cup of paint to throw at the start line, and a medal at the finish line. The race will start at 11:00 am. Please show up early to pick up your bib and check in before the race starts. The race will start at the dirt parking lot in front of the High School. Please park at the Wood River High School and Community Center. We can’t wait to see. you there!

Bald Mountain Clean Up

Join us for a community Baldy clean-up day! Meet us at River Run Plaza on Sunday, June 25th at 8:30am for light refreshments and a brief safety overview. We will depart from there to clean designated areas on Bald Mountain – please wear appropriate footwear, and come equipped with water, sunscreen and work gloves. Stick around for raffle prizes at 12:30pm – including a 2023/24 Challenger Season Pass!
