Homegrown Film Festival

presented by Spencer Cordovano and F11 Films The “must see” Homegrown Film Festival is back for its 7th Annual! All proceeds to benefit the Friends of Sawtooth Avalanche which provides financial support for extra forecasters. Homegrown Film Festival is a celebration of the cinematic and athletic achievement of people who call this place home. The festival showcases the work of our celebrities and professionals, while also giving a platform to local youth and up-and-comers – and it does so in support of our local avalanche center. It gives local rippers a moment to rub shoulders with the pros, high-end brands a space to see the next generation of talent, and the town a chance to celebrate how a place so small can create a mark so big. Mountain towns are dense hub of talent, but too often our athletes and production teams find themselves scattered about the mountains and the globe, disconnected from the community. Homegrown is an opportunity to come together, to cultivate a synergistic excitement about what we can, have, and will create. 5:15pm Show Tickets HERE 8:15pm Show Tickets HERE

A Time Traveler’s Guide to Social Change

Everyone feels it: The faster pace. The divisions in society. The increasing complexity. To help us navigate the changing times with confidence and creativity, Mary Ann Allison will be presenting pictures of our journey from the past to the future. Her presentation, A Time Traveler’s Guide to Social Change, promises to be both informative and entertaining. The founding principal of the Allison Group, Mary Ann helps organizations and individuals feel—and be—powerful in times of rapid social change. Her approach combines skinned knees (real business experience) and rigorous scientific theory. Her research is peer-reviewed and field tested. Mary Ann has co-authored a murder mystery and four books on business and science, and she serves on the board of the Idaho Humanities Council. Although she is a professor emerita and has an MBA and PhD, Mary Ann believes in having fun and hopes you won’t hold her degrees against her. Space is limited, and registration is required to join this small-group workshop and discussion.
