Located just east of Bellevue in Slaughterhouse Canyon, Spirit Woman Ranch’s 80 acres are nestled in the foothills of the Pioneer Mountains and buffered by thousands of acres of public land. By securing the property, we will be able to guarantee public access via Slaughterhouse Road and provide a permanent gateway to adjacent BLM lands for hunting and outdoor recreation. This area is critical wildlife habitat, located near the Owinza mule deer migration route and serves as a crucial corridor for Idaho’s iconic big game. Finally, the property protects a portion of Slaughterhouse Creek, including pond and rare riparian wetlands. The Wood River Land Trust is currently under contract to purchase Spirit Woman Ranch and we are within reach.
