As a dual board-certified psychiatrist and board-certified addiction medicine physician, Dr. Adam Scioli will share the origin/discovery of modern diabetes medications (GLP-1 Receptor Agonists) and their evolution through gaining FDA approval for weight loss to their current “off label use” in addiction.

The audience will gain an understanding of the neurobiology behind addiction and why this class of medication shows promise for treatment of cravings associated with addiction.
