Join us at the BCRD Quigley Bike Park on Sunday, June 22nd, from 11 am-4 pm for an epic day centered around riding bikes! Join our 1st ever Denim poker ride on the Quigley Pond Loop at 11 am! You have to wear denim to participate! The winner will take home a Ripton utility jacket! Sign up on our website: www.thetrailheadbicycles.com/events. Following the Demin Poker Ride, folks can enjoy food from Wood Fired Pizza Truck or La Parilla Tacos and grab a FREE beer! We will start the afternoon off with kids' activities and bikepacking & skills clinics for all ages! At 1:30 pm, our bike contests begin, including men's & women’s keg pull, strider races, bike limbo, and none shall pass! Green Flow Line Strava challenge will be going on throughout the event! The City of Ketchum is pleased to announce details for this year’s Summer Solstice and Warm Springs Preserve Celebration on Monday, June 23, at Warm Springs Preserve. Events begin at 11 a.m. and will take place throughout the day. Activities are free and inspired by time-honored Ketchum traditions and nature-infused experiences, including guided yoga amidst the stunning landscape, nature and photography hikes to capture the Preserve’s beauty, and the debut of Ketchum’s first-ever Puppy Parade and Costume Contest. Into the afternoon and evening, enjoy a community picnic where nature lovers and neighbors can connect. The events will culminate with a Classical Music in the Wild™ performance by IN A LANDSCAPE, featuring acclaimed pianist and outdoorsman, Hunter Noack, set in a breathtaking forest-like setting. Join the Sawtooth Interpretive & Historical Association at our 18th annual summe series at the Stanley Museum: expanding your understanding and appreciate of the Sawtooth & Salmon River country since 1972. Being Indigenous in the Moder Day the presented by Bobette & Russell Haskett Bobette and Russell will share their experiences teaching and sharing cultural lifeways and they will share a brief history of the Shoshone and Bannock Tribes in the Sawtooth area. Stay tuned for details about additional Shoshone-Bannock programming on Saturday, July 12. Bobette and Russell Haskett are both members of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes and reside on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in SE Idaho. They enjoy traveling and doing presentations about their tribal and cultural ways. They both believe that traditional knowledge is important to remember and are active in practicing their cultural ways. Bobette has a love for history, especially Indigenous history, culture, and traditional practices. She participates in many local Native youth and tribal events, educational institutions teaching and sharing her knowledge of weaving techniques, traditional clothing, and beadwork instruction. Her hobbies include beading for family and friends, weaving and making baskets, harvesting plant materials for weaving, and gathering traditional wild foods, like berries, roots, ...
