An avalanche has happened and you’ve been able to successfully dig out your partner? Now what? The After the Avalanche series classes focus on different aspects of patient care following an avalanche. The first class will dig into winter first aid. The class will take place at 5:30 pm at the Ketchum Fire Station on February 1. Artist Holly Holmquist spent the last six years navigating the healthcare system when an acute illness turned into a chronic one without end in sight. PATIENT, an eleven-minute video projection of images and text, is a moving and beautiful visual exploration of that experience. Following the presentation, Holly will join SVMoA curator Courtney Gilbert for a conversation about the work.

Join us for a complimentary Bald Mountain Tour, offered every Monday, Wednesday & Friday throughout the winter season. Tours meet at 9:30am in the Mountain View Room at River Run Lodge and are guided by one of the friendly members of our Mountain Guest Services team (yellow coats). They will guide you around Bald Mountain’s vast terrain, share where the best skiing and riding is and wow you with some amazing historical facts about Sun Valley. Tours are open for all ski levels.
