Living with Alzheimer’s: Effective Communication Strategies

Hailey Public Library and the Greater Idaho Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will host Dr. Carol Stephens, Psy.D. on Tuesday, July 18, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, for the final talk in a four-part series called “Living with Alzheimer’s.” Dr. Carol will explore how communication changes when someone is living with Alzheimer’s, effective communication strategies, sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice and body language. This workshop is an introduction to writing artist statements, photographing artwork, and organizing art to share in a portfolio. Participants are welcome to bring in-progress artwork for feedback. “Building Your Portfolio” is a great opportunity to prepare materials for both college applications and professional opportunities in the arts!
