Beaver Ecology and Stream Restoration
Hailey Public LibraryUniversity of Idaho/Rinker Rock Creek Ranch and Hailey Public Library will host two talks on how insights from beaver ecology inform stream restoration efforts on Friday, July 14 at 5:30 PM. “Two-Eyes Seeing” features Ed Galindo, CEO of North American Native Research and Education Foundation, Inc. Eric Winford, Associate Director of the UI Rangeland Center will examine “Slow Water for Modern Watersheds.” Held at Town Center West.

Living with Alzheimer’s: Effective Communication Strategies
Hailey Town Center WestHailey Public Library and the Greater Idaho Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will host Dr. Carol Stephens, Psy.D. on Tuesday, July 18, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, for the final talk in a four-part series called “Living with Alzheimer’s.” Dr. Carol will explore how communication changes when someone is living with Alzheimer’s, effective communication strategies, sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice and body language. Hailey Town Center WestJoin master knitter and Sun Valley Needle Arts owner Patricia Lirk on July 18 for a friendly Knitting Circle designed for all abilities. Hosted by Hailey Public Library, the free activity is offered from 5:30-7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month in the main library building at 7 W Croy. This workshop is an introduction to writing artist statements, photographing artwork, and organizing art to share in a portfolio. Participants are welcome to bring in-progress artwork for feedback. “Building Your Portfolio” is a great opportunity to prepare materials for both college applications and professional opportunities in the arts!
