Join us for Afternoon Art, a free drop-in program where community members of all ages can explore themes from the Museum's current exhibition and create unique works of art. Families and friends are invited to play, create, and collaborate as artists, making this a perfect activity for art lovers, curious minds, and anyone looking for inspiration. Projects will vary, so there’s always something new to discover! Afternoon Art is held in Ketchum on the first Friday of each month and in Hailey on the second Friday from 2:30–4:30 PM. Be sure to check dates and locations.

OPEN STUDIO: Printmaking

OPEN STUDIO: Printmaking

SVMoA Hailey Classroom

Try your hand at printmaking using a press. Cut a 4x6 linoleum block and do a simple one-color print. Work from images provided in the Open Studio, or bring in your own to work from. You are also welcome to bring your paper to print on. Caty Kendall will be assisting everyone with using the press and learning some of the basics of the printmaking process. All printmaking materials are provided at the Open Studio. Ages 16+; all levels, beginners welcome This open studio takes place from 6–8 pm. 2024/25 Open Studio Sessions: Tue, Oct 28, 6-8pm Tue, Nov 18, 6-8pm (register for each Open Studio session individually) $25 for adults / $15 for students, pre-registration highly encouraged; walk-ups accommodated if space allows

Go Figure! Elevate your Tuesday evening and join SVMoA for a creative studio session that will explore the human figure in variations of lighting, pose, and setting. SVMoA provides a clothed or unclothed model, refreshments, and an open, self-guided studio setting for participants of all abilities. Open to anyone interested in working from the model, regardless of experience level. Familiarity with basic drawing fundamentals recommended. Bring your own supplies; drawing boards will be provided. Age & ability: 18+, all skill levels welcome!The class takes place from 6–8pm.
