SVMoA is bringing Old Crow Medicine Show to the Sun Valley Pavilion with special guests Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway. Old Crow Medicine Show got their start busking on street corners from NY to Canada in 1998. In North Carolina, Doc Watson discovered them playing in front of a pharmacy and invited them to play at MerleFest – 20 years later they’ve been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry and have won two Grammy Awards and now are coming to Sun Valley. Their classic single, “Wagon Wheel” has gone Double Platinum with over 2 million copies sold! Mark your calendars for another epic night with the Sun Valley Museum of Art, bringing the best summer concerts to the valley for over 40 years!

CELEBRATING OUR 30TH ANNIVERSARY! Thirty years ago, the founders of the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference sat around a kitchen table and dreamt up what would become today’s premier literary conference. Over the last three decades, more than 500 poets, playwrights, historians, novelists, and musicians have graced the stage at SVWC, including novelists Alice McDermott and Hernan Diaz, poets Naomi Shihab Nye and Rita Dove, and longtime friend of the Conference, Frank McCourt. “Thirty years is a long time,” writes SVWC Associate Director Anne Taylor Fleming, “but it feels as if we have kept our soul intact.” Join us to commemorate this momentous occasion Saturday, July 20 through Monday, July 22 at the stunning Sun Valley Resort and Pavilion. As always, this year’s ground-breaking presentations fuse together a thoughtfully curated mix of today’s top issues and insights, offered by the brightest thinkers and writers of our time. The Sun Valley Music Festival proudly announces its landmark 40th-anniversary season, from July 29 to August 22, at the Sun Valley Pavilion. Curated by Music Director Alasdair Neale, the 2024 summer season will feature the all-star Festival Orchestra — which comprises the finest musicians from orchestras throughout North America — performing with a stellar lineup of world-renowned guest artists that includes violinist Leonidas Kavakos, pianists Stephen Hough and Garrick Ohlsson, soprano Meechot Marrero, and cellist Jeffrey Zeigler. To celebrate 40 years of free classical music concerts, the 2024 Summer Season includes two world premieres commissioned by the Festival: a cello concerto by the Pulitzer Prize finalist and multi-Grammy-nominated composer Andy Akiho, performed by former Kronos Quartet cellist Jeffrey Zeigler; and a season-opening fanfare by Timothy Higgins, Principal Trombone of the San Francisco Symphony. Stephanie Childress returns as Associate Conductor to lead several performances, including Mozart’s Symphony No. 36 (Linz), Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries, and Rossini’s William Tell overture.
