Alexis also presents the updates for the latest research throughout the region. Embodied Meditation & Movement

These 4-session class series will support us getting more grounded, centered and embodied. Approached collaboratively, we’ll combine a series of meditation techniques using energy and visualization with light stretching and breath work movements to awaken connection to and movement from your core (on many levels!). Miracle of the Mind: Optimizing Brain Health

Dr. Lindholm, DO, a Neurologist at St. Luke’s Wood River in Hailey specializing in neurodegenerative diseases, will share the results of an informative research project that asked the question: what are some effective habits we can adopt to maintain and even optimize our brain health? Dr. Lindholm has been practicing in the Wood River Valley since 2013 and is also on staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Boise. Dr. Lindholm received her degree from Midwestern University in 1991 and her Residency training in Neurology at Rush Medical Center in Chicago in 1995. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at University of Washington, Department of Medicine, a medical reviewer for Healthwise, and has been practicing Neurology for over 31 years. Idaho’s Opioid Epidemic – Causes and Solutions

The Hailey Public Library will host a talk on “Idaho’s Opioid Epidemic – Causes and Solutions” with South Central Public Health education specialist Eli Thompson on Thursday, October 12 from 5:30-7:00 PM at Town Center West. The free talk will help participants understand the current state of the opioid epidemic from a national, state, and local level. Overdose Rescue Kits containing naloxone which reverses an opioid overdose will be available.
