ERC Clean Sweep

Join the Environmental Resource Center (ERC) for our 28th annual community-wide trash pick-up! Since 1994, volunteers of all ages have come together to clean up our cities, neighborhoods, and trails after the long winter on the first Saturday in May. The ERC’s 2024 Clean Sweep will take place on Saturday, May 4th from 9 am-12 pm. Participation is free and easy! Wagon Days

Since 1958, the City of Ketchum has celebrated its mining history with one of the largest non-motorized parades in the west. Come spend the weekend with the whole family and watch the Big Hitch Parade on Saturday at 1 p.m, featuring quality buggies, carriages, carts and stagecoaches, is one of the largest non-motorized parades in the Pacific Northwest. Don’t forget you can get an up-close view of the gigantic Lewis Ore Wagons on display through our the month of August at the Ore Wagon Museum.  2024 Schedule Friday, August 30th OreWagon Museum, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday, Aug 30th to Sunday, Sep 1st Get an up-close look at the massive Lewis Ore Wagons.  Come inside the museum to view historical items from Ketchum’s founding, mining history, and Wagon Days.  Step outside for a tour of Ketchum’s oldest surviving building, the Bonning Cabin.  The historical exhibit was developed in partnership with City of Ketchum, Blaine County Historical Museum, and The Community Library’s Regional History Department.  The Ore Wagon Museum also sells reserved seating for the parade and Wagon Days souvenirs. Kids can get up-close and personal with some of Idaho’s native creatures and explore engaging displays while learning about fun, weird and sometimes incredibly helpful creepy crawlers. Wood River Valley Climate Action Coalition’s Earth Fest

Earth Fest returns to the valley, for our 4th year, to come together as a community and celebrate the planet we all love to live on.  Get ready to enjoy games, food, raffles and inspiring tips on how Circularity within our homes and community can help us become more sustainable and resilient on our only Class M planet. There will be a 5K road race, music, games, and interactive booths. This year’s theme is “Circularity” with a focus on the importance of reducing, reusing, regenerating, rethinking, or redesigning of our management of all of our natural resources. Schedule: Earth Day 5K: 10:00am Dust off those running shoes!   The annual 5K Road race/walk will begin at 10:00 in the alley behind the Hailey library/City Hall.  All registration is onsite and will open at 9:00 am, Saturday, April 20th.  The run/walk will take you through the neighborhoods south of Croy and west of River/Broadford Road. Registration fee is Adults= $10, children under 12=FREE. Easter Egg Hunt at Sun Valley Resort
