Sun Valley Mustard 40th Anniversary Party

Celebrate with their partners at the Sun Valley Culinary Institute (SVCI) on Friday, November 8, from 4 to 6 p.m., with mustard-inspired delectables created by SVCI students and chefs. The anniversary party will also include beer from Sawtooth Brewery and Warfield Distillery & Brewery, cider provided by Meriwether Cider Co. and hand-crafted nuts from City Peanut of Boise. Sun Valley Mustard sources Amber Ale from Sawtooth Brewery to create their amber ale mustard and SVM is collaborating with City Peanut on a forthcoming project. Ballet Idaho

Ballet Idaho is thrilled to be presenting an anthology of work at The Argyros this November. The program will be stylistically diverse and provide an intimate showcase for the artistry and athleticism of Ballet Idaho’s dancers. Congruence was jointly choreographed by Anne Mueller and Garrett Anderson, set to the music of Chicago-based composer, Marc Mellits. This piece is an exploration of creative synergy and collaboration between two choreographers, the talented performers, and Mellits’ nuanced musical phrasing. Terrance Marling’s Twice (Once) is set to the gorgeous music of contemporary composer Anna Clyne’s Within Her Arms. This is a subtle yet stirring piece that contemplates the afterlife, drawn from personal experiences of both composer and choreographer. Clyne wrote this piece of music honoring the passing of her mother, and Marling’s response drew upon his own near-death experience as a child. While the inspiration explores images of mortality and afterlife, this work is an uplifting and poignant abstraction of the human spirit. Danielle Rowe created For Pixie, inspired by the life and love of her own grandparents. What We’re Made Of: Wild Rye and Club Ride

Many outdoor brands have their origins in the Wood River Valley; the easy access to the outdoors in so many ways (biking, hiking, skiing) gets the creative juices flowing in terms of how to improve on those sports—and then gives you a big playground to test out those improvements. Outdoor apparel companies Wild Rye and Club Ride are no different, with both company’s founders being outdoor aficionados in the Wood River Valley who found themselves staring down a gap in their respective markets; for Wild Rye, that gap was an outdoor brand exclusively for women.
