event-193169-1772225471

Join SVMoA for a talk by Dr. Elena Shtromberg from the University of Utah as she highlights Frida: The Making of an Icon, an exhibition currently on display at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Dr. Shtromberg will discuss the life and art of Frida Kahlo and the exhibition of Kahlo’s work at MFAH. Departing from the traditional retrospective format, the exhibition revolves around a selection of Kahlo’s masterworks, memorabilia, and documents from her archives, as well as a vast array of works from artists across artistic and social movements who were inspired by her practice.
