After School Art Club Session 1 (1st Grade)

image-9

After-School Art Club is a hands-on creative program for elementary students that invites young artists to explore materials, ideas, and artistic processes in a supportive studio environment. Each session focuses on making, experimenting, and problem-solving through a variety of art activities inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and the world around us.

Students will work with a range of materials and techniques, build creative confidence, and strengthen fine motor skills while learning to think like artists and makers. The emphasis is on process, exploration, and personal expression rather than on producing “perfect” final projects.

A member of the Hailey Elementary staff will escort participating students after school to the Hailey Classroom at the museum. The program meets on early-release Wednesdays and runs from 2:00–4:00 pm, with a pickup window from 3:45–4:00 pm. It is offered in two 6-week sessions during the spring:

Session 1 (Hailey Elementary 1st Grade): February 11 – March 18

Session 2 (Hailey Elementary 2nd Grade): April 15 – May 20

Space is limited to ensure a small-group, high-quality experience.
