Film trailer at: www.climbingfilmtour.com This year’s tour features the exclusive world premiere of TRANSCENDENCE which tells the story of professional cyclist, Adrien Costa, who turns to climbing after suffering a life changing accident. Join world champion climber Liv Sanso, on an adventure in Jordan's Wadi-Rum desert in IF IT'S EASY, IT'S NOT FUN. Follow Australian Olympian, Lucy Stirling, as she takes on new challenges in the Australian Blue Mountains. Plus rock climbing, bouldering and slacklining from the USA, France, Australia and more. The Climbing Film Tour is a unique platform for climbers and filmmakers around the world to share their stories with the community. Each year films are submitted and selected by our Vertical Life climbing team to go on tour with screenings in hundreds of gyms, cinemas and other locations around the world. Nature Journaling with Leslie Rego
The Community LibraryThis 6-week workshop series offers a welcoming and supportive space for people interested in drawing the natural world. The focus will be on nature journaling. Prompts will be offered as well as guidance. Each session we will jump down a “rabbit hole” and study in depth one plant or landscape element or learn about different brushes, paints, papers, and other art supplies. Led by artist Leslie Rego. Thursdays 4:00-5:00 p.m., November 2 - December 14 (no class the week of Thanksgiving). Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 12 students.

In this first feature documentary about the Ariel School UFO incident, a young woman returns to her school in rural Zimbabwe - the place that, at the age of nine, shattered her reality. We meet a respected BBC war reporter who reluctantly covered the event, ultimately leading him to risk his career on the one story that haunted him the most. EVENING EXHIBITION TOUR: Sightings
Sun Valley Museum of ArtEnjoy a tour of the exhibition with The Museum’s curators. Living through the Covid-19 pandemic, Americans developed a new relationship to the night sky, looking to the stars for connection at a time of isolation. Located in rural Idaho, the number one state per capita for UFO sightings, SVMoA sits at the edge of the 1,416 square-mile Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve. Motivated by this geography and by local lore surrounding the possibility of extraterrestrial life, SVMoA’s fall exhibition considers our human experience of UFOs and the extraterrestrial. Rather than ask what those who report UFO sightings have actually seen, the exhibition asks why we look to the night skies for signs of life, and how we experience phenomena we can’t explain. Featuring commissioned projects by artists Deb Sokolow and Cable Griffith alongside work by Karla Knight, Robyn O’Neil, Ionel Talpazan, Esther Pearl Watson, and Timothy Wyllie. Refreshments will be served in the Museum classroom prior to the start of the tour.

Join The Community Library and the Climate Action Coalition of the Wood River Valley for a panel discussion with early adopters and local experts to learn how you can take steps towards a cleaner, more efficient home and access the tax credits and rebates to make it affordable. All are welcome! (Renters, home owners, builders, service providers, any and all!) Sun Valley Culinary InstituteThe Sun Valley Culinary (SVCI) Institute introduces its new class of culinary students for SVCI’s Bistro 211 Pop-Up Lunch. SVCI’s talented new class of students wrap up their first instruction block with a delectable three-course prix fixe lunch to go. Come by the Sun Valley Culinary Institute to order to go. Seating is limited at SVCI and available on a first-come, first-available basis. Choice of soup or salad of roasted butternut squash soup with fresh herbs, Crème Fraîche, and a petite salad of chopped kale and spring mixed greens with honey vinaigrette. For a second course, choice of salad or sandwich with a chef salad with chopped kale and spring mix salad with grilled pear, gorgonzola, candied pumpkin seeds, and honey vinaigrette. Add grilled chicken for extra delight. Sandwiches include a shiitake Báhn Mi or blackened rock bass with lime cilantro aioli and tropical pineapple mango slaw. A third option for the second course is the SVCI Ketchum N’ Burn Em’ Burger, which is a local 1/3 pound burger patty with cheddar, brisket, bacon, BBQ sauce, pickled red onion and baby arugula topped with a crispy onion ring.
