Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience

The Argyros

Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience is not just another Beatles tribute show – it’s an unforgettable journey that places the audience in the heart of the experience. Created by brothers Billy, Matthew and Ryan McGuigan, the show lets the audience choose the entire setlist. Before each performance, audience members fill out request cards with their favorite Beatles song and the reason behind their choice. Minutes before showtime, these cards are collected, and a unique setlist is crafted based on the audience’s selections. Throughout the performance, the McGuigan brothers and their band blend the audience’s personal stories with their own memories of growing up listening to The Beatles, creating a one-of-a-kind show that changes with every performance. This interactive format allows the audience to relive their memories through the timeless music of The Beatles, making each night a deeply personal and emotional experience.

Languages of Resilience Workshop

The Community Library

“Languages of Resilience” is an interactive workshop that blends journaling, visual art, and movement to explore stress, resilience, and self-expression. Using various creative and mindfulness methods, we’ll identify common stressors, engage in guided exercises, and experiment with different “languages” of healing. This is a workshop for everyone, and no artistic experience is needed! Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore new ways of understanding and processing emotions and experiences. This workshop is part of an ongoing thesis project of The Sage School current senior Sarah Leidecker, in her work studying creative expression as a tool to process and heal from trauma and enact social change. Her research includes work with a choreographer and arts therapy organizations in New York City as well as techniques from The HeartMath Institute. Now, Sarah hopes to bring these insights to her own community, sharing methods, connection, and creative tools for healing and resiliency. Space is limited. Registration requested to join us.

Educator Evening: Artful Practices for Well-Being

Sun Valley Museum of Art

Engaging with art can support well-being by helping us build skills that have value in our daily lives, such as deepening awareness, considering new perspectives, and sparking inspiration. Art offers us one approach to the difficulty of slowing down, noticing what’s happening inside ourselves, and feeling present as we move through the world. At this Educator Evening, we’ll practice mindfulness and consider how these exercises can be incorporated into the classroom.
