Each Girls on the Run season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! ​Let's get this party started! Boxcar Bend needs some love and we’re teaming up with Trout Unlimited for the first work party of the summer. Now all we need is YOU! We invite you, your friends and family to help us spruce up Boxcar Bend Preserve, off Highway 75, north of the East Fork light. Tasks include pulling weeds, spreading wood chips on the trail, and picking up trash. Garbage bags will be provided, but please bring gloves and a water bottle. No experience is necessary, and no sign-up is required. Light snacks will be available for participants. Come make a difference and enjoy a morning outdoors! (And maybe jump in the river afterwards…)

Over those years, we have raised over $1 million for international and local charities/programs, such as Blaine County Search and Rescue, the Community Holiday Baskets Project, the Wood River Rotary Scholarship Fund, and The Hunger Coalition, to name just a few. The 2024 SV Rotary Brewfest is our 10th anniversary and will be held at the Ketchum Town Square on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12pm to 5pm. We anticipate over 1,200+ beer lovers from all over the Intermountain West, as the Brewfest is becoming a marquee event in our resort town! We have grown attendance from 500 participants in our first year to more than 1800 participants in 2019. The festival will offer guests the opportunity to sample and learn about more than 200 beverages from more than 35 craft breweries, cideries and RTD’s. Sun Valley Policy Forum: SVPF Summer Institute

The SVPF Summer Institute is a 2-day event with presentations from Charlie Kirk (Winning the Culture Wars for the Next Generation), Stephen Moore (Back to Work: Pro-Growth Economic Tax Policies), Scott Rasmussen (Founding Principles in Modern America) and Cleta Mitchell (Election Integrity: Who Counts?). The Sun Valley Policy Forum (SVPF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and non-partisan organization. Founded in 2022, SVPF brings first-in-class educational programming to drive greater community participation and engagement in social, economic, and civic challenges. SVPF brings the very best of today’s eminent leaders and nationally recognized luminaries to Sun Valley, Idaho. SVPF is designed to promote civil researched policy discourse and to create a forum to exchange ideas and build affinity groups growing the base of support of sound clear policies for the next generation. Significant year-round programming features economists, change agents, cultural historians, academia, new media, philanthropy, and public servants. Each will provide insights on critical issues and share our values of upholding the Constitution, and the American ideals of individual liberty, democracy, and free speech. Be a warrior for a morning - a Weed Warrior that is! Join us, along with the Environmental Resource Center, for a work party to get Howard Preserve in Bellevue ready for the summer! Bring your family and friends (and even your dog!) for a morning of pulling weeds and picking up trash. Garbage bags will be provided, but please bring gloves and a water bottle. No experience is necessary, and no sign-up is required. Light snacks will be available for participants. A few hours of your time will make a big impact and help beautify the preserve for everyone to enjoy!

Join Wood River Trails Coalition for an evening work event! Where: Taylor Canyon When: Thursday, July 11th 5:30 PM- 7:30 PM Difficulty: Moderate Project Description: Our Trail Boss led event will be focusing on re-benching a long section of narrow and out sloped trail. What to bring/wear: Closed toe/ankle supporting shoes and pants will be required. We recommend bringing your own eye protection/sunglasses, work gloves and sunscreen. A small pack is nice to have for water, layers and a snack. No dogs please. What we will provide: Tools, required PPE available for use: hard hats, eye protection, gloves etc. Bike helmets are not an appropriate substitute.
