Hailey Town Center WestThe Hailey Public Library’s Cultura series continues with a visit to Arequipa, Peru, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with Visit Sun Valley's Jessica Maynard on Thursday, September 28 from 5:30-7:00 PM. Cultura celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, inviting community leaders to share personal stories, images, and conversation about their home countries. The free presentation will be held at Town Center West.

The New Era of Conservation: What Working Landscapes Bring to the Table
The Community LibraryWestern Landowners Alliance presents this panel discussion on the New Era of Conservation in advance of and in partnership with the Trailing of the Sheep Festival. The conversation will focus on the importance of both private and public lands, the critical role of agriculture in conservation, and obstacles that landowners face in stewarding these landscapes. The panel will also touch on the idea of stewardship beyond boundaries: the need for all of us—landowners, sportsmen, recreationalists, ranchers, urban residents—to look beyond the boundaries of our land or immediate self-interests. Panelists will include Lesli Allison, the CEO of the Western Landowners Alliance, Cameron Westcamp, the Operations Manager for Rinker Rock Creek Ranch, and a local producer. The discussion will be moderated by Eric Winford, Associate Director of the University of Idaho Rangeland Center.

Los Angeles violinista and educator Mauricio Molino will share personal stories, images, and conversation about his home country, and play the violin. The presentation will be held Sunday, October 8, 2;00-4:00 PM at Town Center West.
