Wildflower Walks
Various Locations2024 is SBG’s 20th year Wildflower Walks! Join us walking slowly on nearby moderate to easy trails as we appreciate the blooming native plants of our area. Walks will be led by botanists, naturalists, birders, and wildflower enthusiasts. Meet at Sawtooth Botanical Garden (11 Gimlet Road, 4 miles south of Ketchum), and follow each other or carpool to the trailhead. Children under 14 are welcome with an adult. No dogs please! Bring clothing for possible weather, hiking shoes (no flip fops or dress shoes), sun protection, plenty of water, reusable water bottle and a lunch. A camera, field guide, binoculars and notebook may help with identifying and remembering plants. The Sun Valley/Ketchum Rotary Club has been dedicated to creating community in the Wood River Valley for over 50 years. Over those years, we have raised over $1 million for international and local charities/programs, such as Blaine County Search and Rescue, the Community Holiday Baskets Project, the Wood River Rotary Scholarship Fund, and The Hunger Coalition, to name just a few. The 2024 SV Rotary Brewfest is our 10th anniversary and will be held at the Ketchum Town Square on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 12pm to 5pm. We anticipate over 1,200+ beer lovers from all over the Intermountain West, as the Brewfest is becoming a marquee event in our resort town! We have grown attendance from 500 participants in our first year to more than 1800 participants in 2019. Sun Valley Wine Auction
Various LocationsA celebration of wine, a benefit for the arts. The 43rd Annual Sun Valley Wine Auction will be held June 26-28, 2024. Founded in 1981, the Sun Valley Wine Auction began as an intimate fundraising event for an emerging arts organization that eventually became the Sun Valley Museum of Art. Consistently ranking in Wine Spectator’s annual Top 10 Charity Wine Auctions, the festival brings together both small and large and always distinguished vintners, celebrity chefs, and wine lovers for a celebration of wine, food, friendship all in support of the arts. Proceeds from the Auction provide significant funding for the Museum’s exhibitions and educational programs. The Wine Auction fuels SVMoA’s free year-round arts integration programs so that they can reach 4,000 student participants in the Wood River Valley.
