Inglés conversacional con el tutor Leonardo Padilla Sacha es los viernes de 6:00 a 7:30 PM. Esta es una clase gratis para hablantes nativos de español de todos los niveles en un ambiente estructurado pero informal. Habra hablantes nativos de ingles disponibles para ayudar. "Drop-ins" bienvenidos, no hay necesidad de registrarse con anticipation. Las classes son en Town Center West (atras de la biblioteca de Hailey).

Community Avalanche Safety Education Day
RotarunJoin the Friends' Instructors at Rotarun for stations involving rescue practice, terrain identification, and backcountry preparation. The event will kick off just after public skiing closes at 4. Stations will run from 4-5:30 with bonfires and beers afterwards! No need to pre-register- just show up! Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center Field Day
Join the Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center instructors for a field day covering avalanche rescue basics, snowpack layering, avalanche terrain identification, and basic backcountry travel. Please note-you need to have attended a Friends' Introduction to Avalanches lecture prior to participating in the field day. See www.sawtoothavalanche.com for lecture dates or email education@sawtoothavalanche.com to receive a virtual copy of the lecture. We have moved to a pre-registration system for courses due to high demand! Please sign up for a field day using this Field Day Sign Up Form: https://forms.gle/GNvKfCmMrCeB2Qp97 We will send out more information about the course in the week leading up to it. We will meet at the SNRA and then spend the day near the SNRA or on Galena Pass. You will need a way to travel over snow (snowshoes, touring skis, splitboard...) There is a $40 suggested donation to the Friends of the SAC to cover instructor costs. Donations can be made at www.sawtoothavalanche.com (click the donate button) or via Venmo @sawtooth-avalanche. Neighborly Spanish
The Hailey Public Library is launching Neighborly Spanish, a free 6-week class taught on Mondays by retired local teacher Jim King. The class will offer basic Spanish language skills seasoned with a little history and culture. Enrollment limited to 20. Registration required to kristin.fletcher@haileypubliclibrary.org. Lunch & Learn: Under the Surface – Hemingway Short Stories
Hailey Public Library’s is delighted to host a three-part series highlighting three of Ernest Hemingway’s short stories with local scholar Ted Dyer. Dyer will look under the surface to examine three thematically linked Nick Adams short stories: Indian Camp, The Battler, and Big Two-Hearted River.
