To celebrate Trailing of the Sheep Festival, the Hailey Public Library is delighted to offer “Learn to Knit” a 5-part class taught by master knitter and Sun Valley Needle Arts owner Patricia Lirk. The free series will focus on the basics and conclude with a personal project. Classes will be held at the Library located at 7 West Croy on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM, starting October 3. Participants will provide their own yarn and needles. The class is free but space is limited so participants should email kristin.fletcher@haileypubliclibrary.org or call 208-788-2036 to register for the series.

Beaver Ecology and Stream Restoration

University of Idaho/Rinker Rock Creek Ranch and Hailey Public Library will host two talks on how insights from beaver ecology inform stream restoration efforts on Friday, July 14 at 5:30 PM. “Two-Eyes Seeing” features Ed Galindo, CEO of North American Native Research and Education Foundation, Inc. Eric Winford, Associate Director of the UI Rangeland Center will examine “Slow Water for Modern Watersheds.” Held at Town Center West.

Join master knitter and Sun Valley Needle Arts owner Patricia Lirk on March 21 for a friendly Knitting Circle designed for all abilities.  Hosted by Hailey Public Library, the free activity is offered from 5:30-7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month in the main library building.  Participants should bring their own yarn and needles and are encouraged to pre-register by emailing kristin.fletcher@haileypubliclibrary.org.
