Join us for a complimentary Bald Mountain Tour, offered every Monday, Wednesday & Friday throughout the winter season. Tours meet at 9:30am in the Mountain View Room at River Run Lodge and are guided by one of the friendly members of our Mountain Guest Services team (yellow coats). They will guide you around Bald Mountain’s vast terrain, share where the best skiing and riding is and wow you with some amazing historical facts about Sun Valley. Tours are open for all ski levels.

Stand-Up Comedy Series Featuring: Tim Walkoe

Sun Valley Opera House

Join us at the Sun Valley Opera House for five great nights of stand-up comedy. Each night will feature a different world-class entertainer. These comedians will keep it relatively clean, and generally stay away from politics, though it is always appropriate to warn families that there may be adult language and content. Tim Walkoe “Nonstop laughter from start to finish” is what the Chicago Tribune had to say about the stand-up comedy performance of Tim Walkoe- a comedian that has headlined at over 100 comedy clubs nationwide. A Grand Prize winner on ABC TV’s “America’s Funniest People”, Tim has appeared in a recurring role on Fox TV’s “Murder in Small Town X” as Mayor Emerson Bowden. Other television credits include A&E, HBO, Showtime, TNN, PBS, and recently Fox Sports Net Sports Fans Choice Awards in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, and Dallas.

A Forest Service ranger meets interested guests at the Bald Mountain Map near Sun Valley’s Lookout Restaurant. The tour lasts a pleasant hour while skiing the mountain making three stops for the ranger to give his talk. Topics covered include a wealth of interesting information about local history, geography, geology, the Bald Mountain Stewardship program, expansion plans and local public lands.

Sun Valley is proud to welcome back the Toyota U.S. Alpine Championships presented by Stifel to our historic resort for the second year in a row. Running March 20th-24th, you’re invited to cheer on the elite and next generation ski racers vying for their place on the U.S. National Team during the final competition on the National ski racing circuit.  Schedule Wednesday, March 20th - U.S. Alpine Championships—Super G Super giant slalom, or super-G, is a high-speed alpine skiing race. Introduced to the World Cup in 1983, it's a "speed" event, distinct from the technical giant slalom and slalom.
