Join Idaho Writer in Residence Mitch Wieland for a lively conversation to discuss the writing of The Ghosts of Okuma, his new novel set in the aftermath of the nuclear disaster at Fukushima in Japan. Wieland lived in Tokyo from 1986-1991 and spent eight weeks in 2012 researching the novel on a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the arts. Wieland will be in conversation with the Library’s executive director, Jenny Emery Davidson.
A book signing with Iconoclast Books will follow.
