“Wild Horse Nine,” starring John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell, follows two CIA agents whose mission to Easter Island takes an unpredictable turn as dark secrets and shifting loyalties come to the surface. The cast also includes Steve Buscemi, Parker Posey, and Tom Waits. The film is directed by Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh, whose previous work includes “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”. Following its premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, ‘Wild Horse Nine” has drawn high praise, particularly for the performances of John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell.

Before the feature, audiences will enjoy “Lovebite,” a short thriller written, directed, and scored by Will Nordstrom, who will attend the screening. An SVJr alum, Nordstrom returns to the festival with new work and now serves as a judge for the youth competition.
