Color, rhythm, and expressive line take center stage in the mixed-media works of artist Sally King Benedict. Known for her unmistakable visual language, Benedict’s work pulses with energy—layered patterns, bold palettes, and abstracted faces that feel at once spontaneous and deeply intentional.

Her August exhibition, “Frequency of Seeing,” will bring together a vibrant collection of new works that highlight Benedict’s exploration of form and emotion. For Benedict, “These paintings explore perception as a kind of frequency — an emotional sensitivity to light, color, pattern, and repetition.”
