What if Blaine County imagined a future as the best rural school district in America?
– If you have a child in school,
– If you’ve ever wondered whether school is actually preparing kids for adult life,
– If you run a business and struggle to hire capable young people,
This is for you.
Multiple Choice says out loud what many of us already know about the breakdown in American education. It follows the Winchester, Virginia, community that rebuilt high school around career-connected learning, not just test performance.
Their students graduate with academic knowledge and hands-on credentials: math and welding, civics and EMT certification, physics and engineering.
Filmmaker Ted Dintersmith will be flying in to join us. Ted has premiered three films at Sundance, written two best-selling books, and worked with schools and districts across America. He goes after what’s broken in our schools — and showcases what works.
