Celebrating 50 Years of The Elephant’s Perch

The Elephant’s Perch is turning fifty in 2026, and we’re starting the celebration right where it all began: with our community.

Since opening in 1976, The Perch has grown alongside the people who live, work, ski, ride, and adventure in the Wood River Valley. From early Boulder Mountain Tour race mornings to gear fittings, trail conversations, road trips, and shop-floor storytelling, the last five decades have been shaped by friendships and shared experiences.

To honor that history, we’re hosting a 50th Anniversary Party during Boulder Mountain Tour week, and we’d love for you to join us.

Stop in for wine and nibbles, reconnect with friends, and take a moment to look back at the people, stories, and milestones that helped The Perch grow into what it is today. Bob and Kate Rosso will be here to catch up and share memories from the early days.
