Set inside the galleries of Sun Valley Museum of Art, this writing workshop invites participants to use the artworks on view as powerful points of entry into their own stories, reflections, and imaginings. Surrounded by works from the exhibition Memory of a Future Once Imagined, writers will begin by observing closely before responding to guided prompts that transform visual details into vivid language. An artwork might spark a memory, inspire a character sketch, or unlock unexpected metaphors. The result is a dynamic, cross-disciplinary exploration where art serves as both inspiration and reflection.

We’ll have writing materials ready for you, or feel free to bring a favorite journal and writing utensil from home.
The workshop is a collaborative project between The Community Library and Sun Valley Museum of Art.

Workshop will take place from 5:30pm-6:30pm at The Museum.
