This summer, enjoy Yoga at River Run presented by Brass Ranch. All levels are welcome to these free one-hour classes held outdoors at River Run Plaza most Tuesdays & Saturdays. Space is limited, please arrive at 8:45am to register. Please bring your own mat and water, and we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home. Sun Valley Pickleball Classic

Sun Valley Tennis & Pickleball Center

Round Robin format WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills 3.0-4.5+. Age brackets will be determined following the close of registration, but will strive to be close to under 50, 50-59, & 60+ events. Players will self rate and can not play lower than their USA Pickleball Tournament Player Rating (UTPR). Players may only play up in skill .5 from their profile rating. Tournament Director reserves the right to correct underrated players. Free tournament shirt included for players registered by Sept 1st Outdoor play on 8 dedicated pickleball courts with additional temporary courts available if needed Tournament location at the Sun Valley Tennis & PIckleball Center Using the Franklin X-40 ball

Baldy Hill Climb

2023 will be the 45th year of suffering at the infamous Baldy Hill Climb, hosted by SVSEF! Registration is now open and closes Thursday, September 28 at 11:59pm. No Race Day registration. 17 & Under = $30 18 & Over = $40 All participants receive an event t-shirt, a refuel at the summit aid station, and a ride back down to the base (details for 2023 to come). $100 bonus on the line for anyone in the Race division who topples a course record. 2023 Race will be run on River Run side of the mountain to Round House. Day of Bib Pick- up and Race Start are at the base of Bald Mountain, outside the River Run Lodge. Exact course update will be posted in early September. BCRD Ski Free Day!

Wood River Trail

For four days this season, BCRD welcomes the community to enjoy free Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on all BCRD winter trails. The 32-kilometer multi-use Wood River Trail, which runs from Ketchum to Bellevue, is always free. The Wood River Trail is groomed every other day and is open to skiers, walkers, dogs, and fat-bikes. The Ski Free Days for the 2023/24 season are: Saturday, December 9 Sunday, January 7 Saturday, February 24 Wednesday, March 27

Fun, Free Downhill Race for Kids! Started by the original founders back in 1957, this fun ski and snow board event is for non-sanctioned racers ages 3 to 12. It is held at Sun Valley’s Dollar Mountain in the spring, usually in March. The event attracts up to 250 skiers who all earn commemorative pins. The Olympic gold medal winner Picabo Street was a Kindercup champion! Other famous Sun Valley area skiers to have been past Kindercup champions include: Langely McNeal, Graham Watanabe, Wyatt Caldwell and more! ​CHECK IN AND BIB PICK UP: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. RACERS MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE! International Women’s Day “Lap for the Ladies”

Kick off International Women’s Day at Sun Valley with a celebration of inclusivity and women in the outdoors with “A Lap for the Ladies!” Meet at top of Baldy at 10:00am to join in a fun celebration and photo op before cruising down College! Costumes are encouraged! Swing through the Brass Ranch River Run shop to enter a raffle to win awesome gear and accessories from women owned brands like Halfdays and Skida

Spend a day in someone else’s skis! All levels and abilities are welcome to enter.  The Adaptive experience will begin with training to ski as someone with a disability would, followed by a friendly race testing your new skills, and the opportunity to have a “celebrity” HG participant join your team. End the day with awards and après to benefit and celebrate Higher Ground’s winter programs.Kickoff cocktail party and band on Saturday, March 9th at Whiskey’s on Main! Galena Loppet

Starting at 10 am, this is a fun perimeter ski tour around the Galena trails (approximately 25 km). Beer and doughnuts may occur at random along the course. Costumes encouraged! Free! No registration necessary

Dollar Dayz Pond Skim

Don’t miss the “Cold Bowl Pond Skim” on Dollar’s final day, Sunday, March31st kicking off at 10am. Participants will try to make it across the pond on their skis or snowboard – in full costume! Wear your best Hawaiian or tropical-themed costume and come ready to enjoy BBQ, a family scavenger hunt, and lots of laughs! Pre-registration is required for pondskim participants.
