The seminar opens at the Library on Thursday evening, May 18, at 6:00 p.m. with "Reader's Corner," a talk by Bob Kustra, the host of Reader’s Corner on Boise State Public Radio and BSU President Emeritus & Professor of Public Service. Reader’s Corner is a weekly radio show and podcast featuring lively conversations with leading writers, including many winners of top literary prizes and best-selling authors. Kustra will discuss his interviews and their issues and ideas that matter today. All are welcome, through registration is recommended to save your seat. On Friday, attendees can register to attend one of two afternoon breakouts: "Capturing the Unsung Power of Point of View in Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, Poetry" with Christian Winn, or "Untangling the Difficult Narrative: Using Form, Language, and Self-Care to Access Our Wounds" with Rebecca Evans. From September 28 through October 8, this unique festival brings together over 100,000 filmgoers in over 500 cities and towns across 6 continents. A celebration of wine, a benefit for the arts. The 43rd Annual Sun Valley Wine Auction will be held June 26-28, 2024. Founded in 1981, the Sun Valley Wine Auction began as an intimate fundraising event for an emerging arts organization that eventually became the Sun Valley Museum of Art. Consistently ranking in Wine Spectator’s annual Top 10 Charity Wine Auctions, the festival brings together both small and large and always distinguished vintners, celebrity chefs, and wine lovers for a celebration of wine, food, friendship all in support of the arts. Proceeds from the Auction provide significant funding for the Museum’s exhibitions and educational programs. The Wine Auction fuels SVMoA’s free year-round arts integration programs so that they can reach 4,000 student participants in the Wood River Valley. It also supports the Museum’s annual Scholarship Program, which, since its inception, has awarded more than $1,000,000 to continued arts education.
