Public Lands in Peril: A Triple Threat
Elephant's Perch, Ketchum, IDJoin Josh Johnson, ICL’s Central Idaho Director, for a timely discussion of the renewed and emerging threats to Idaho’s public lands in this political moment. Josh will summarize the current status of public lands takeover efforts in the West, dive into the massive impact of recent staffing cuts to our federal land management agencies, and discuss the Trump administration’s efforts to gut key environmental regulations. We will also provide some tangible ways to get involved and make your voice heard. If you care about the fate of your public lands, this presentation is not to be missed!

Hailey Town Center WestHailey Public Library is pleased to offer Conversational Spanish, a new weekly class for intermediate Spanish speakers starting Tuesday, February 18, and running through June 24. It will be held from noon – 1:00 PM at Town Center West, 116 S River Street. Taught by popular language tutor Leonardo Padilla Sacha, the free class will be structured around specific topics each week and focused on developing fluency and practical speaking skills. A model will hold a variety of poses throughout the 2-hour session. All skill levels are welcome. Bring your own supplies; drawing boards will be provided. Herbal Medicine Making: Salves and Infused Oils
Sawtooth Botanical GardenJoin Community Herbalist Megan Schooley for a two-part workshop where you'll learn to make infused herbal oils and salves for your home apothecary. Be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get in on the fun. Guests will get to take salve home with them. The workshop schedule is: Wednesday, March 5th at 6-7pm*, and Saturday, March 8th at 9-11:15am *While you’ll get the most comprehensive knowledge by being present for both days, you are welcome to sign up for the workshop if you can’t make it on Wednesday but are able to join on Saturday as the majority of the material will be covered on Saturday. Please communicate with the instructor when you register if you will miss Wednesday. The cost for this class is $100. Registration is required.
