The Community LibraryHygge ("hoo-ga") is about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures. The Danish concept is many things, including an opportunity to unwind and take things slow. Drop in to The Community Library all week for puzzles, games, coloring, and of course, reading! Enjoy our offerings, or bring your own games and crafts. Quiet spaces can be found throughout the library, including by our fireplace, and the Lecture Hall will be set up as a place to gather and be cozy together. Each afternoon from 1:00-3:00 we'll have free cookies and warm treats available in the Lecture Hall. All are welcome!

COMMUNITY PROGRAM: Afternoon Art—Ketchum
Sun Valley Museum of ArtPlay, create, discover, and have fun! Afternoon Art is a free drop-in opportunity for community members of all ages to explore concepts from the Museum's current exhibition and create works of art. Families and friends are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together. Perfect for art lovers, curious minds, and anyone seeking inspiration. Projects will vary. Age & Ability: all ages, families encouraged to attend together Ketchum Afternoon Art runs from 1:30–4:30pm at the Sun Valley Museum of Art. Afternoon Art is offered in Ketchum on the first Friday of each month and in Hailey on the second Friday from 1:30-4:30pm and are recommended for families with children of all ages. Please be sure to check dates and location.

BCRDBlaine County Recreation District’s (BCRD) FitWorks fitness center invites you to embrace the “New Year, New You” spirit and take the first step toward reaching your goals with free classes and equipment. Whether you’re looking to try something new, build strength, improve flexibility, or boost your overall health, our supportive community and diverse offerings make it easier than ever to stay motivated. January 4-10, FitWorks is hosting an open house with free access to all classes and equipment. FitWorks is open from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, Fridays from 6:00am to 6:00 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. FitWorks boasts a wealth of classes catering to a broad spectrum of fitness enthusiasts including H.I.I.T., Yoga, Dance, Pilates, Barre, Spin and more! FitWorks memberships start at $25/month and special rates are available for students and seniors. Fitness classes are included with a FitWorks Plus membership or are $8 per class. Wood River Writers’ Focused Writing Group
The Community LibrarySaturdays, November 2 – April 5, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm Co-work with a community of writers the first Saturday of each month for focused writing and craft discussions and connect to other writers from the Wood River Valley and beyond! All writing abilities and ages welcome. Join us in The Community Library’s Idaho Room, or online via Zoom. The Wood River Writers’ Groups are led by AJ Super, a local author with a trilogy of science fiction books published by a small traditional press. She is also a Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Association (SFWA) member.
