Join us for a 20-30 mile gravel ride around Hailey each Wednesday morning at 7am throughout the summer! These are no-drop group rides; we plan to ride with you! It is the best way to start a summer day. Please fill out our waiver via our website www.thetrailheadbicycles.com/group-rides before your first ride (once per season is all that is needed). 2024 is SBG’s 20th year Wildflower Walks! Join us walking slowly on nearby moderate to easy trails as we appreciate the blooming native plants of our area. Walks will be led by botanists, naturalists, birders, and wildflower enthusiasts. Meet at Sawtooth Botanical Garden (11 Gimlet Road, 4 miles south of Ketchum), and follow each other or carpool to the trailhead. Children under 14 are welcome with an adult. No dogs please! Bring clothing for possible weather, hiking shoes (no flip fops or dress shoes), sun protection, plenty of water, reusable water bottle and a lunch. A camera, field guide, binoculars and notebook may help with identifying and remembering plants. Explore its geological formation with Josh Johnson, Idaho Conservation League’s Central Idaho Director, before hearing from Ted Stout, who served as Chief of Interpretation and Education at Craters of the Moon for 17 years. With Ted, we will explore the last 100+ years of human interaction with the volcanic landscape. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate a century of discovery in this iconic, enigmatic Idahoan landscape! Classic Flicks @ Hailey Public Library concludes with the 1933, black and white classic starring the renowned Marx Brothers. One brother is the appointed leader of a small, financially struggling country; meanwhile, the ambassador of a nearby country plots a revolution. A masterpiece of comedy, it is considered their finest film. The free film showing will be held on Thursday, June 6, at 6:00 PM at Town Center West, 116 S River St., in Hailey. Afternoon Art is offered in Ketchum on the first Friday of each month and in Hailey on the second Friday from 1:30-4:30pm and are recommended for families with children of all ages.
