Starring: Gary Farmer, Adam Beach, Evan Adams, Irene Bedard, Tantoo Cardinal, and Tom Skerritt. Written by Sherman Alexie. Directedy by Chris Eyre. On a Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, reservation, nothing ever changes until the estranged father of Victor Joseph bites the dust in Arizona and Victor must collect the cremated remains. Victor can't afford the fare, but annoying nerd Thomas Builds-the-Fire will float Victor a loan if Thomas can tag along. This tale of self-discovery is based on acclaimed author Sherman Alexie's short stories from "The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven." PG-13. Run time is 89 minutes. Registration is required to save a seat. In-person only. Writer Sherman Alexie, who is a speaker at this year's Ernest Hemingway Seminar, will help open the film.
