Learn to Knit with Patricia Lirk
Hailey Public LibraryTo celebrate Trailing of the Sheep Festival, the Hailey Public Library is delighted to offer “Learn to Knit” a 5-part class taught by master knitter and Sun Valley Needle Arts owner Patricia Lirk. The free series will focus on the basics and conclude with a personal project. Classes will be held at the Library located at 7 West Croy on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM, starting October 3. Participants will provide their own yarn and needles. The class is free but space is limited so participants should email kristin.fletcher@haileypubliclibrary.org or call 208-788-2036 to register for the series.

Nature Journaling with Leslie Rego
The Community LibraryThis 6-week workshop series offers a welcoming and supportive space for people interested in drawing the natural world. The focus will be on nature journaling. Prompts will be offered as well as guidance. Each session we will jump down a “rabbit hole” and study in depth one plant or landscape element or learn about different brushes, paints, papers, and other art supplies. Led by artist Leslie Rego. Thursdays 4:00-5:00 p.m., November 2 - December 14 (no class the week of Thanksgiving). Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 12 students.

The Community LibraryKetchum Remote Collective aims to bridge the intangible gap between the Wood River Valley’s physical community and the remote workplace for many of its residents. Come meet and spend part of your week working alongside other remote workers. Drop in Fridays between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. to The Community Library's Idaho Room. The group has a large, dedicated space for co-working!

Jarabe Mexicano
The ArgyrosJarabe Mexicano captures the nostalgic spirit of their border roots with their brand of “Bordeño-Soul,” which honors the musical tastes and cultural influences of its members. Jarabe, which translates to “concoction,” highlights the eclectic mix of genres they perform ranging from Mexican Folk, Rock & Roll, and Norteño/Tex-Mex to Latin Rock, Trio Romántico, and popular Cumbia. Their traditional Mariachi string instruments and Norteño-inspired drums complement dramatic vocals in English, Spanish, and Spanglish, and shows how this multi-generational ensemble embraces change while still honoring the past. As educators, cultural ambassadors, and advocates for the arts, the Vilar Performing Arts Center raves that Jarabe Mexicano is “thought-provoking, heartfelt, and engaging.”

Information that will be shared in the meetings includes: Project Scope Timelines Discussion on potential business impacts Wednesday, Nov 8 @ 5:30pm Limelight Hotel - Silver Creek Room.
