The Argyros Presents GoldFish ‘DiscoFish Snow Tour’

This is a standing show except for the VIP ticket section. David Poole and Dominic Peters of GoldFish will be taking turns on Bald Mountain before taking the stage at the Argyros on Saturday, March 15th as part of their GoldFish Snow Tour. They are currently traveling the world playing to their fans but love making stops in their favorite ski towns like Sun Valley and Telluride. They always spend a few extra days in Sun Valley to enjoy the mountain and their favorite restaurants like Apple’s and Grumpy’s. Before changing the Electronic Music game in South Africa as GoldFish, Dominic Peters and David Poole were mild-mannered students surfing by day – and blowing the roof off house parties by night. At NourishMe, a light filled store on Main Street in Ketchum, Idaho customers can find everything from organic seasonal produce, locally made and grown foods, bulk seeds, nuts and fruits as well as a wide variety of supplements, wellness products, gluten-free foods and organic cosmetics. Join us every Tuesday 1:30 - 5:30pm - we host Waterwheel Gardens from Emmett. Currently, they are offering a killer apple cider and grape juice, along with their jams, dried fruits and a variety of Fall harvest vegetables. We also get weekly deliveries of raw cow milk, raw goat milk, and yogurt. NourishMe creates daily, nutrient-rich, organic, deli-style foods to go or eat in. Try your hand at printmaking using a press. Cut a 4x6 linoleum block and do a simple one-color print. Work from images provided in the Open Studio, or bring in your own to work from. You are also welcome to bring your own paper to print on. Museum staff will assist with using the press and teaching some basics of printmaking. All printmaking materials are provided at the Open Studio. Event Series Snowshoe with a Ranger

Snowshoe with a Ranger

Galena Lodge

Learn about the history of the old Galena mining camp and about the local animals who leave their tracks in the snow during a free Snowshoe with a Ranger tour. The Sawtooth National Recreation Area is offering free snowshoe tours at 11 a.m. Thursdays through March 6th and at 10am March 13 & 20th, leaving from the porch of Galena lodge. The snowshoe trip lasts about two hours, covering 1.5 miles with stops along the way. Tour-goers will learn about the winter ecology and more during the tour. A free one-day Blaine County Recreation district snowshoe pass will be provided. Snowshoes can be rented at Galena Lodge. Snowshoers are advised to dress warmly in layers, wear insulated waterproof boots, gloves, hats,  sunglasses and sunscreen. Dogs and other pets are not allowed on these particular tours. No reservations are necessary. To learn more, call the SNRA at 208-727-5000. The Community Library

An intimate journey into the sketchbook world and how drawing can offer a moment of stillness and peace within an often chaotic world. Led by artist Leslie Rego. Thursdays, February 27 - March 27, 2025 (five Thursdays). Registration required. This workshop series offers a welcoming and supportive space for people interested in drawing the natural world. The focus will be on nature journaling. Prompts will be offered as well as guidance. Each session we will jump down a “rabbit hole” and study in depth one plant or landscape element or learn about different brushes, paints, papers, and other art supplies. A list of recommended supplies will be sent to registered participants. Leslie Rego has drawn in journals for years. She carries sketchbooks and paints with her while enjoying the national forest and will take time to draw and paint landscapes and flowers on her many hikes. Leslie wrote the "Sketchbook Hiking" article in The Weekly Sun for many years. She has artwork in private collections, The Sun Valley Lodge and around the world.
