At NourishMe, a light filled store on Main Street in Ketchum, Idaho customers can find everything from organic seasonal produce, locally made and grown foods, bulk seeds, nuts and fruits as well as a wide variety of supplements, wellness products, gluten-free foods and organic cosmetics. Join us every Tuesday 1:30 - 5:30pm - we host Waterwheel Gardens from Emmett. Currently, they are offering a killer apple cider and grape juice, along with their jams, dried fruits and a variety of Fall harvest vegetables. We also get weekly deliveries of raw cow milk, raw goat milk, and yogurt. NourishMe creates daily, nutrient-rich, organic, deli-style foods to go or eat in. Try our ever popular grilled sandwiches and daily soups.

An intimate journey into the sketchbook world and how drawing can offer a moment of stillness and peace within an often chaotic world. Led by artist Leslie Rego. Thursdays, December 5-19 and January 16-23 (five Thursdays). Registration required. This workshop series offers a welcoming and supportive space for people interested in drawing the natural world. The focus will be on nature journaling. Prompts will be offered as well as guidance. Each session we will jump down a “rabbit hole” and study in depth one plant or landscape element or learn about different brushes, paints, papers, and other art supplies. A list of recommended supplies will be sent to registered participants. Leslie Rego has drawn in journals for years. She carries sketchbooks and paints with her while enjoying the national forest and will take time to draw and paint landscapes and flowers on her many hikes. Leslie wrote the "Sketchbook Hiking" article in The Weekly Sun for many years. She has artwork in private collections, The Sun Valley Lodge and around the world.

All writing abilities and ages welcome. Join us in The Community Library’s Idaho Room, or online via Zoom. The Wood River Writers’ Groups are led by AJ Super, a local author with a trilogy of science fiction books published by a small traditional press. She is also a Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Association (SFWA) member.

Boulder Mountain Tour

The 52st annual Zions Bank Boulder Mountain tour is February 1, 2025! This is the premier cross-country race in the Western United States, the Tour is staged on the historic Harriman Trail located in the pristine Sawtooth National Forest Area. Race distances are 34 kilometers, the Full Boulder, and 15 kilometers, the Charley Course Half Boulder. The field features World Cup-caliber racers to cross-country enthusiasts who embrace the “Tour” aspect of the event. All ages are welcome. Racers are separated by waves, including Elite Men, and Elite Women, seeded by previous race times in the BMT or comparable marathon distance races. There are seven waves in the Full Boulder. This year, the in-person race field will be capped at 800 skiers for the Full Boulder, and 200 skiers in the Half. LITERACY/CREATIVITY – Footlight Dance Company

Footlight Dance Company’s 2024-25 Dance Enrichment Tour in our Schools will take place January 23 - February 4, 2025. A free community performance will take place - Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the WRHS Performing Arts Theater at the Community Campus - Hailey, Idaho. 7:00 pm Our program this year is entitled “LITERACY - CREATIVITY”. Our performance tour will address the importance of reading to tell our stories of the past, present and future. Under the direction of Hilarie Neely, Artistic Director of Footlight Dance Company, the dancers will use the genres of ballet, modern, tap, jazz and hip hop dance to interpret the power of reading. Our hope is to bring awareness of how movement, visual arts, and reading work together to share and connect us through story telling. We are also excited to be working with The Community Library, Children’s Library on this project. Both DeAnn Campbell and Haley Christianson are working outreaches to local schools that will include curriculum resources to enhance student responses.
