Bloom Community Food CenterCome volunteer in The Hunger Coalition's community gardens! Family friendly sessions. Fresh veggies shared with all. Wednesdays at Hope Garden in Hailey, Corner of Walnut and 1st Ave. Thursdays at Bloom Community food Center in Bellevue, 110 Honeysuckle St. You'll be planting, harvesting, weeding, and in general learning about vegetable and perennial gardening.

Scout summer tasting series "Terroir Thursdays"
Scout Wine & CheeseEvery Thursday, starting the second week of June we "Scout Wine & Cheese" will be doing a tasting from 5pm-7pm touching upon the qualities and range of wine from the perspective on where and how grapes are grown. Pitting two varietals from 4 separate unique "terroirs" against each other and showing off their differences and similarities, no reservation required.

Sun Valley Museum of ArtJoin SVMoA’s curators for a tour of the exhibitions Tina Barney: Homecoming and Rob Davis: Records. Refreshments will be served. Tina Barney: Homecoming features photographs Barney made between 1976 and 1980, when the internationally renowned artist was living in Ketchum, Idaho, and taking photography classes at the Sun Valley Center for the Arts (now Sun Valley Museum of Art). Made with a Pentax 35mm camera, the images document the daily life and activities of the people closest to Barney. They are representative of a key stage in her trajectory as an artist, before she began working with a large format camera to make carefully composed and directed photographs. In contrast, the images in this exhibition, which were made in Sun Valley, Rhode Island, and New York, are more spontaneous. But like her later photographs, these early works illuminate the subtle interactions and psychological tensions that occur among family and friends even in moments of leisure – at weddings and on squash courts, at the beach, waterpark, or a ski race. Thirty years ago, the founders of the Sun Valley Writers’ Conference sat around a kitchen table and dreamt up what would become today’s premier literary conference.
