Come join us for an evening of favorite jazz standards from the Great American Songbooks of Gershwin, Porter and Kern, gems from the jazz masters including Ellington and Mingus and the Brazilian classics of Antonio Carlos Jobim and Sérgio Mendes. The Sun Valley Music Festival announces its seventh Winter Season, March 6-8, 2025. The 2025 Winter Season features guest curator and pianist Joyce Yang. A Sun Valley favorite, Ms. Yang has performed several times with Music Director Alasdair Neale and the Festival Orchestra, including the Festival’s Summer Seasons in 2013, 2016, and 2021. Ms. Yang rose to fame in 2005 as the youngest contestant and silver medalist at the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. An accomplished chamber musician, she’ll join forces with Festival Orchestra musicians in a program featuring works by Poulenc, Dohnányi, and Schumann. Ms. Yang will also perform solo piano works by Rachmaninoff each evening. The program will be performed each of the three evenings, March 6, 7, and 8, 2025. The concerts will take place at the Argyros Performing Arts Center in Ketchum, starting at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM). The concerts are about two hours long, including an intermission. As always, admission is free but reservations are required Attending winter concerts Concert reservations are limited to two per household. David Poole and Dominic Peters of GoldFish will be taking turns on Bald Mountain before taking the stage at the Argyros on Saturday, March 15th as part of their GoldFish Snow Tour. They are currently traveling the world playing to their fans but love making stops in their favorite ski towns like Sun Valley and Telluride. They always spend a few extra days in Sun Valley to enjoy the mountain and their favorite restaurants like Apple’s and Grumpy’s.
