Wildflower Walks
Wildflower Walks 2023 is SBG’s 19th year of leading Wildflower Walks! Join us hiking slowly on nearby moderate to easy trails as we appreciate the blooming native plants of our area. Walks will be led by botanists, naturalists, birders, and wildflower enthusiasts. We will choose the trails earlier each week according to where flowers are actually blooming. Participants will meet at Sawtooth Botanical Garden (11 Gimlet Road, 4 miles south of Ketchum), and follow each other or carpool to the trailhead. Children under 14 are welcome with an adult. No dogs please! Bring clothing for possible weather, hiking shoes (no flip fops or dress shoes), sun protection, plenty of water, reusable water bottle and a lunch. A camera, field guide, binoculars and notebook may help with identifying and remembering plants. Click here for an optional packing list! Free Casting Clinics with Silver Creek Outfitters
Sun Valley InnLearn to fly cast, or brush up on your double haul technique with one of our fun and experienced guides. These casting clinics are for anyone who is curious or just a little rusty. Clinics will run Tuesday through Saturday at the Sun Valley Resort from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm throughout the summer. Equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. WRTC Volunteer Work Party
Where: Adams Gulch, Sunnyside Trail. Wood River Trails Coalition (map) When: Thursday, June 15th 5:15 PM - 7:30 PM Difficulty: Easy - 1/2 mile hike from trailhead to the start of the project What to bring/wear: Closed toe/ankle supporting shoes and pants will be required. We recommend bringing your own eye protection/sunglasses, work gloves and sunscreen. A small pack is nice to have for water, layers and a snack. No dogs please. What we will provide: Tools, required PPE available for use: hard hats, eye protection, gloves etc. Bike helmets are not an appropriate substitute. RSVP: Yes please! HERE

Galena Bike ‘n Hike Night
Galena LodgeOnce per month - Free Friday Nights at Galena Lodge from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm Come join us for a summer evening of outdoor recreation (bike or hike), community, food, and good cheer on the lawn. This is a family friendly event - all ages welcome. 3rd Annual Pride Ride
Join us for the 3rd annual Pride Ride bike parade starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17th. Parade participants are encouraged to bring their wheeled transportation and your most colorful costumes for this free event that includes tacos and sodas at Despo’s in Ketchum. Find the beginning of the route starting at 10:00 am at River Run Upper Parking lot, where you can put the final touches on your ride.
