Join us for Afternoon Art, a free drop-in program where community members of all ages can explore themes from the Museum's current exhibition and create unique works of art. Families and friends are invited to play, create, and collaborate as artists, making this a perfect activity for art lovers, curious minds, and anyone looking for inspiration. Projects will vary, so there’s always something new to discover! Afternoon Art is held in Ketchum on the first Friday of each month and in Hailey on the second Friday from 2:30–4:30 PM. Celebrate the start of the holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Celebration in the Sun Valley Village. Festivities include an appearance by Santa, live holiday music, free cookies and cocoa, and an outdoor bar. Festivities kick off at 5:30pm with the tree lighting at 6pm sharp! The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place in the Village in front of the duck pond by the Sun Valley Inn. A live ice carving demonstration will take place near Village Station starting at 4pm.

Join us for our beloved Christmas Eve Ice Show! Stick around after the show to catch our Torchlight Parade and fireworks spectacular on Dollar Mountain. Skating in a Winter Wonderland The Sun Valley Carolers will take the stage at 5:30pm with some Christmas favorites, followed by a Christmas themed ice show. As always, complimentary cookies and cocoa will be served on the Lodge Terrace for all to enjoy! Please note, the bleachers will open up at 3pm. Guests cannot reserve bleacher seats before that time.

Sun Valley Community School invites you to learn more about our Lower School's K-5 Program from 8:00-11:00 a.m. on January 9! Parents will attend a Community Meeting led by 5th graders, followed by the chance for a Q&A with our Lower School Head and current parents. For those interested, we will end with a tour of the spaces Lower School students frequent daily. Students are invited to visit class while their parents attend the Open House.
